About Us

As the central point of access for assistance on domestic violence within the counties of Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, and Talbot on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, the mission of Mid-Shore Council on Family Violence is to create healthy opportunities to break the cycle of domestic violence through intervention and prevention by providing shelter, counseling, services, and advocacy for victims and abusers; and by changing society’s attitudes and systems which permit and promote such violence against women, men and families.

Family Violence does not discriminate, nor does MSCFV. We provide services to individuals regardless of race, religion, sex, national origin, ethnicity, age (referrals only for youth), disability, color, political affiliation, sexual orientation, gender identity or marital status. We serve the five Maryland Mid-Shore Counties: Caroline, Kent, Dorchester, Queen Anne's and Talbot.

With parents’ permission, we are able to serve youth experiencing teen dating violence. While MSCFV does not provide services to children, we provide referrals to other community agencies to help youth.

We have bilingual staff and translation services available to help victims whose primary language is not English.

Every year, MSCFV's team of trained, caring and knowledgeable staff work to empower over 400 victims and their 600+ children as they work on creating a violence-free self-sufficient future.
